Krista L. Vega, DVM

Dr. Vega was born and raised in Yukon, Oklahoma. Some will tell you she met her husband, Chris, on the playground, but they actually didn't meet until they were in high school. They were married in the summer of 1999.

They moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, soon after and attended Oklahoma State University. Dr. Vega received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2002. She graduated OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Vega continued her training with a one year internship in small animal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine in the beautiful state of Colorado. Her husband's career transferred them to Texas in 2007 when she joined the McKinney Animal Hospital team. By the end of the year, Dr. Vega and her husband had relocated, begun new jobs, and had celebrated the birth of their first child, Karson. In 2010, the Vegas welcomed their second son, Dax, into the family. They share their home with their four-legged family which includes three very active Min Pins.

In her spare time, Dr. Vega enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, outdoor activities, reading, and catching up on sleep. She loves Mexican food, scary movies, and her husband for his never failing love and support.
