At McKinney Animal Hospital, we provide a full complement of elective surgical procedures, including neuters, spays, declaws, and mass removals. We are also able to provide a majority of emergency and non-elective surgical procedures such as C-sections, intestinal foreign body removals, urinary bladder stone removals, and leg amputations. There are some surgeries that we recommend you have done at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, such as bone plating, joint repair, and back surgeries, to better serve your pet's needs.
To complement our facility, McKinney Animal Hospital has a fully equipped surgical suite. This allows us to provide your pet with extensive soft tissue and limited orthopedic surgery capabilities. For the safety of your pet, we always run pre-surgical bloodwork and use isoflurane gas anesthesia. This allows us to greatly reduce the risk of any anesthetic procedure. We monitor all animals with a vital signs monitor to track EKG, temperature, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and respiration. We also support all our invasive surgical patients with intravenous fluids to help eliminate the anesthetic drugs from their bodies and maintain their blood pressure.
We hope that your pets never need a surgeon past their neuter/spay surgery, but if they do, rest assured that we're here to help!
