Ewa K. Cissik, DVM

Dr. Cissik has been an associate at MAH since April of 2002. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree, in Zoology from Texas A&M in 1995, and earned her DVM from A&M in 2000. Her professional interests include canine and feline medicine. She also occasionally treats small rodents, ferrets, guinea pigs, and rats with simple health problems.

Dr. Cissik moved from Poland to the Dallas area with her family when she was a teenager. Her move was quite an adjustment but allowed her to pursue the educational and career opportunities that her parents had envisioned for her. Dr. Cissik considered veterinary medicine after acquiring a Siamese mix cat in her sophomore year of college. After receiving her bachelor's degree and working as a veterinary technician for a year, she was accepted to Texas A&M Veterinary school and the rest is history.

Dr. Cissik lives in McKinney with her husband, John, and their three sons, Hektor, Marcus, and Duncan. She spends most of her free time with her family enjoying visits to local parks and playgrounds, the Heard Museum, the Dallas Zoo, the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science, and local sporting events (go Allen Americans and Frisco Roughriders!). Her family also includes a Bengal cat named Loki who enjoys quite the reputation at the clinic, and she recently adopted a Pitbull, named Logan who's brought much excitement to her little boys' lives. When she has time, she pursues her hobbies of reading mysteries and science fiction novels, tinkering on the computer with her website, and keeping up with the occasional reality show. She's pictured here with her technician's cat, Tabitha.
